BBC Children In Need Bedroom Auction
The exciting part - How will the auction work?
The auction will take place on Friday the 14th of November. We will have ten auction lots available which will be released at random times throughout the day between 00:01 and 18:00. Each lot will be available for a limited time only.
The start time for each lot wil be announced on our Facebook page. If you already like our page this will appear on your timeline (subject to your personal account settings).
There will be a selection of room types available for auction. Each lot will have a minimum bid and will vary depending on the room type.
There is no charge to submit a bid. Bids are submitted via private message on our Facebook page. At the close of each lot we will send a private message to the succesful bidder in which we will ask the bidder to contact us with a credit or debit card number.
Succesful bidders will be sent a voucher to present when checking in to the hotel.
The boring part - Terms & conditions
The auction will only run on the 14th of November 2014.
Each auction lot will be for a specified room type for a duration of one night inclusive of breakfast.
From Lot 3 onwards if we receive joint highest bids the winning bidder will be deemed to be the bidder who submitted their bid the earliest in the auction.
Succesful bidders will be contacted on the day in order that we can confirm their bid and arrange for payment via a credit or debit card.
Succesful bidders can make a reservation for their winning bedroom on a date of their choosing (subject to availability). Extra nights can be purchased to extend the stay if required (subject to availability). Rates for additional nights will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Winning lots will expire on the 14th of November 2015. The winning lots cannot be used between the 22nd of December 2014 and the 02nd of January 2015, 13th -15th of February 2015, 02nd - 06th April 2015
Winning vouchers cannot be used as payment for existing reservations
No refunds are available for unused vouchers.
