The Crown Hotel is situated in the picturesque and peaceful village of Wetheral and is close to the historic city of Carlisle and Hadrians Wall. The hotel can be easily reached by road as it is only two miles from either junction 42 or 43 of the M6 motorway. For guests travelling by rail the local railway station is just a short stroll from the hotel and is on the Carlisle to Newcastle line.

The Crown Hotel offers extensive conference and banqueting options. We can cater for up to 140 delegates and can offer a variety of room options to suit the size of your meeting. Our rooms are suitable for every type of event from conferences and product launches to interviews and training courses. We offer a range of 24 hour delegate and day delegate packages to cover every aspect of your requirements.

Guests of the hotel are free to use our extensive leisure facilities which include an indoor 12 metre deck level swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium, squash court, sauna, solarium and steam room.

Our recently refurbished restaurant, The Conservatory At The Crown, which overlooks our beautiful landscaped gardens offers guests a quality dining experience. Menus change frequently and feature a wide selection of local specialities and traditional dishes. The large conservatory with it's wooden beams and striking red quarry tiles has been simply, yet classically decorated using warm and relaxing colours, complimented by sandalwood blinds, dark wooden tables and plush Queen Ann seating.

For an informal and relaxed evening why not enjoy a drink in Waltons, the Crown's traditional village pub. Waltons also offers a tasty alternative to our main restaurant and serves snacks and bar meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
