Where do I begin?!
When me and Martyn got engaged our wedding was originally planned for 2024 at a different venue, after receiving some heart breaking news that the grooms sister was unwell we decided to change everything and bring the wedding forward. We had 6 weeks to find a venue and plan a wedding! We seen the crown has a Christmas wedding package that was amazing value for money, I rang them which is when I had my first contact with Lianne, we arranged for me to head up the next day. As soon as I went in I was pleasantly surprised, it has such a lovely comforting feeling. Lianne could not of been anymore helpful and empathetic, from that first meeting to the very end of our wedding celebrations as a bride I genuinely would not of handled everything without her.
Everything was taken care of with such ease, and the reassurance I so needed. I stayed over the night before and had a beautiful meal in the pub then the next morning it was all go. Lianne was there throughout making sure everything ran smoothly, and it couldn’t of went more perfectly.
The food was unbelievable, that’s all you could hear throughout, compliments to the chef! On the night we wanted some of our friends to DJ after the in house DJ to close off the night with the music we love, this was no problem at all and all taken care of which really made it feel so special for us.
In hindsight I really don’t think we could of chose a better venue, it was absolutely stunning. The day was extremely emotional for us both as unfortunately my sister in law never made it to the wedding day, but we had her in our hearts then and always, and with the support of Lianne and all the staff at The Crown we still had the most magical day we could of possibly had.

“The venue for our wedding was never in question and we wouldn’t have got married anywhere else. It was the place we had our first date and then four years later we were back to celebrate our 4th anniversary and our wedding day”.
Following a very stressful week before the wedding due to Covid restrictions not fully lifting, I cannot thank the wedding team and management enough for all their help and support. They supported us to pull off an amazing day and we had the best day even though the weather was awful. Thankfully the weather dried up enough for us to have some lovely photos in the garden. They made the day run so smoothly, even managing issues we had with our band. I had spent two years planning every detail and the wedding team were excellent, setting things out just as I had planned. The venue looked absolutely beautiful.
A special moment for us was the staff arranged for us to go and have photos taken in the bar where we had our first date- truly magical!
The staff were all amazing, the food and service were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. From start to finish an absolutely perfect day. Special mention to the night porter who continued to serve a select few until 4am- what a night!! I certainly can’t remember going to bed.
The honeymoon suite was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel as did our guests who also enjoyed a comfortable stay.

Thanks go to Megan our wedding coordinator for making our dream come true, Beppe for being so attentive, and Ashley for being so great in making the day run without fault. Also the bar staff for making incredible cocktails.
Every detail we had in mind when organising our big day was met. No request was too big for the team at The Crown. The venue is perfect, from the gardens to the function room, to the surrounding area. It really is picture perfect.
We chose the afternoon tea package – this was our quirky option and it really paid off. The choice of food was ideal and we were able to tweak the menu to make it more customised for our guests. The choice of drinks was brilliant for our summer wedding. We had a barbecue in the evening and it has got to be one of the best we’ve had! Hats off to the chefs!
The DJ provided was fantastic, he really listened to what music we wanted and kept us going right until the end. He got everyone on their feet.
I cannot recommend The Crown and the team enough. Thank you for making what could have been most stressful day ever into the most relaxed, seamless, beautiful memory.”
